Killer Dogs

1 million Pit bulls are euthanized from shelters each year. That's 2,800 a day. People are afraid of these dogs and don't want to adopt them. They think they're solely used for fighting and will attack at any time. Contrary to popular belief, they are sweet family dogs that make great pets. Cities have even banned them with Breed Specific Legislation (BSL). BSL is the banning or restriction of specific breeds of dogs considered "dangerous" breeds, such as Pit bulls. These laws are based on media claims, which are worded and framed for entertainment purposes, not educational purposes.

I curated and designed this book aimed to change legislation across the nation and change perspectives and opinions on "pit bull" breeds. Its purpose is to educate and raise awareness of the miscommunication happening in the media daily. It can be shared at shelters or sent to legislators in hopes of changing laws.
